N-body originated in London. Architects Ramón Gómez Larios and Delphine Ammann set up in partnership at the Architectural Association Graduate School. After nearly four years of fruitful activity, the partnership was formally established in Zürich as n-body in 2005. N-body has developed from an ambitious collaboration to a unique design practice with an extensive project portfolio, publications, exhibitions, and an increasing collection of new work ranging from small-scale products and interventions to large-scale buildings and structures. Prior to founding n-body, they have worked on a variety of international projects: Ramón Gómez for Morphosis in Los Angeles and Scott Brownrigg and Make architects in London, and Delphine Ammann at diverse practices in the US and at Zaha Hadid Architects and Project Orange in London. Ramon received his first professional degree from the Department of Architecture, Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana, Mexico and Delphine received her architecture degree from the Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture in Pennsylvania. Both partners hold a Master Degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association’s Design Research Lab (AADRL) in London. |
N-body hat seinen Ursprung in London. Ramón Gómez Larios und Delphine Ammann haben sich an der Graduate School der Architectural Association zusammengeschlossen. Nach vierjähriger Zusammenarbeit, wurde die Partnerschaft 2005 in Zürich formell als n-body etabliert. N-body hat sich von einer ambitionierten Kollaboration zum Designstudio entwickelt. Es ergänzt sein umfangreiches Portfolio von Projekten, Publikationen und Ausstellungen mit einer wachsenden Anzahl neuer Arbeiten, die alle Dimensionen, von Objekten bis zu großen Bauprojekten, umfasst. Vor der n-body Gründung, haben beide Partner bei internationalen Projekten mitgearbeitet: Ramón Gómez Larios bei Morphosis in Los Angeles und Make architects in London und Delphine Ammann in diversen Ateliers in den USA und bei Zaha Hadid und Project Orange in London.
